Eagles running back LeSean McCoy is holding another community day in Harrisburg -- only this time it has a new name and its focus has changed.
The new event is called a 'Back to School BBQ' and takes place Saturday, July 28 at Reservoir Park in Harrisburg (intersection of North 21st Street and Walnut Street). McCoy attended Bishop McDevitt High School.
McCoy will help struggling Harrisburg City school students and families by giving away 1500 book bags and school supplies. Food and drink is also free.
The 'Back to School BBQ' runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and McCoy is scheduled to attend.
McCoy set single-season franchise records with 17 rushing touchdowns and 20 overall touchdowns in 2011, rushing for 1,309 yards in 15 games with another 315 yards in receiving.
