LANCASTER -- The Barnstormers will again have the Atlantic League's Pitcher of the Year in their rotation.
Right-hander Dwayne Pollok, who went 14-4 in 2012, has re-signed with the team, the club announced on Tuesday. Lancaster has also re-signed catcher Francisco Hernandez.
Pollok, 32, set a Barnstormers franchise record last season with a league-leading 2.30 ERA. He began the season with seven straight wins. In 145 total innings, Pollock -- a 27th-round draft choice by the Chicago White Sox in 2003 from Texas A & M -- allowed only 29 walks, while striking out 113.
"We're ecstatic to have Dwayne back," said manager Butch Hobson in a statement. "He's going to be our No. 1 guy. I am looking forward to having him out there every fifth day."
Pollok was also named the Pitcher of the Year recently in the Venezuelan Winter League for the second straight time. While pitching for Las Aguilas de Zulia, he won seven of nine decisions while ranking among league leaders with a 2.36 ERA.
Hernandez, 27, appeared in 66 games for the Barnstormers in 2012, batting .258 with six homers and driving in 29 runs.
