Barnstormers beat Bridgeport, set league record for wins

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- The Lancaster Barnstormers established a new Atlantic League record for most wins in a season Thursday with an 11-9 victory over Bridgeport at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard.

Lancaster now has an overall record of 87-50. 

Fehlandt Lentini homered on the first pitch of the seventh and Ryan Harvey put Lancaster in the lead to stay with an RBI single later in the inning.

The 2009 Somerset Patriots, who went 86-54, owned the previous league record.
