HARRISBURG -- Susquehanna Township grad Ed Ruth from Penn State has been named the Big Ten's Wrestler of the Week.
Ruth, who is ranked first in the nation at 184 pounds, won six bouts and his division at the Southern Scuffle at Chattanooga, Tenn.
He helped top-ranked Penn State earn its third consecutive Southern Scuffle title.
Ruth compiled three pins and two major decisions and took down defending NCAA 184-pound champion and second-ranked Steve Bosak of Cornell (7-3) to win the individual title.
This is the third time in his career that Ruth has won a weekly award from the Big Ten.
