The Millersville baseball team is volunteering its services to help high school student Parker Harley in his fight with Primary Schlerosing Cholangitis (PSC). On Sunday, Sept. 2 from 3-9 p.m., those hoping raise money for Parker can purchase a ticket for the 2012 Turtle Derby.

The Turtle Derby takes place at the Ephrata Elks Lodge #1933 at 170 Akron Road, Ephrata, Pa. Tickets cost $30 and include the all-you-can-eat food and drinks, live music, crafts and family entertainment, raffles, door prizes and the Turtle Derby.

All money raised goes to the "Pound it Park" fundraising effort, which helps Parker get financially closer to receiving a needed liver transplate, which costs an estimated $250,000. PSC is a rare disease in which the only effective treatment currently recognized is a transplant.

Tickets can be purchased online at pounditpark.org, at the Blue Ridge Communications office or at the Historic Smithton Inn in Ephrata. Addresses and phone numbers are listed below.
