YORK -- Former big league outfielder Jeff Fiorentino has re-signed with the York Revolution and the club has also signed ex-major league right-handed pitcher Matt Fox, the team has announced.
Fiorentino, 29, batted .311 in 66 games last season for York after beginning 2012 with Class AAA Sacramento of the Oakland A's organization. He was originally signed by the Orioles as a third-round draft pick out of Florida Atlantic in 2004.
He made his major league debut at age 22 and has a .270 average in 58 games in parts of four seasons with Baltimore and Oakland.
Fox, 30, spent last season with the Seattle Mariners organization. He pitched with both the Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins in 2010. Fox has a career minor league record of 45-36 with a 3.78 ERA.
York now has 11 players under contract for 2013.
