HARRISBURG -- The Harrisburg Stampede has released a new logo for the 2013 season.
The primary colors remain the same -- blue and yellow -- but Harrisburg's logo now features the entire face of a bull with red eyes outlined in black; the look is very similar to the Chicago Bulls of the NBA.
Team owner Marques Colston, the Saints' wide receiver from Suquehanna Township, told CBS 21 News Sports Director Jason Bristol on Saturday in New Orleans that the Stampede would be releasing a new logo sometime this week.
The team has also announced it will have new uniforms, as well; featuring a sleeker-looking black and royal blue uniform with metallic black helmets.
“This new design is also symbolic of the new direction of the organization," said Colston in a statement. "Our team is committed to delivering our fans a high quality entertainment experience and we’ll strive daily to become a staple of positive work within our community.”
The Stampede begins the AIF season in March. Harrisburg finished last season with a 7-2 record.
