HARRISBURG -- The Harrisburg Stampede has signed wide receiver Jerrell Jones and offensive lineman Anthony Amoo, the team announced.
Jones played this summer for the Chambersburg Cardinals of the Gridiron Developmental Football League and has AFL and CFL experience, as well.
"J.J. is the type of player that as soon as I saw him play, I wanted him to be with us during our season," said Stampede head coach Bernie Nowotarski in a statement.
Amoo, who resides in Blue Bell, Pa., has played for the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena League. He attended the University of Houston. "He has the size and agility to handle the center of our line," Nowotarski said of Amoo, who's 6'3" and 300 pounds.
"We believe Anthony is going to be a very good fit on and off the field in Harrisburg."
