Finding a Job

Classifieds
The classified section of your local newspaper is the probably the easiest place to start when looking for a job. Generally, the sunday edition has the largest number of help wanted ads.
"Situation wanted" ads
A 'situation wanted' ad is similar to a classified ad, but in reverse. It's placed by the person seeking a specific job, and directed to potential employers.
Placement services
Placement and out placement services are good avenue for finding a job. If you're about to graduate college, it never hurts to visit your college placement office, for possible leads.
Non-traditional searches
So you've tried the typical routes for finding a job. Are there any non traditional methods you can use? Sure, with a little creativity, energy and time, you can generate your own job leads.
Re-entering the workforce
Re-entering the workforce may seem stressful, especially if you've been out of the workforce for a number of months or years. Once you decide to return, you'll want your new career to be one you enjoy.
Hiring trends
Looking for a job? Trends in hiring have changed to reflect modern technological advances. For example, employers no longer depend solely on traditional advertising and interviewing techniques; they now advertise positions over the Internet.
Graduate employment
Long months of studying and hard work aren't just for graduation, they're for a rewarding career. Many technical and trade schools offer job placement assistance.
