Like all other aspects of the interview, you'll do better at negotiating salary if you're prepared know ahead of time what the market value is for your job, what you'd like to earn, and what you're willing ot settle for.

Though they may not be in the form of immediate income, benefits are a very important part of your compensation. So when considering a job, be sure to ask what benefits they can offer.

When leaving your job, it's advisable to give your employer a two week advance notice. While this meets minimum standards, it doesn't usually allow time to find a replacement.
