UPDATE(2): Delivery van driver suffers serious injuries in collision with bus
State Police have released more information regarding the crash involving a school bus from Marion Elementary School.
The driver of the Martin's delivery van was Terry Betz, 50 of Chambersburg. He suffered serious injuries and was taken to York Hospital.
The extent of injuries to the students consisted of bloody noses and scratches.
The school bus crash on Route 11 (Molly Pitcher Highway) in Guilford Township injured the driver of a delivery truck.
The crash occurred just before 4 p.m. when a bus carrying students from Marion Elementary School, part of Chambersburg School District, was stopped with its red lights activated. For some reason a Martin's delivery van crashed into the bus.
The van did not have any passengers. The driver of the van suffered serious injuries and was flown to the hospital.
The school bus did have students on it and at least one suffered minor injuries. The crash is under investigation by State Police.
Emergency crews are on the scene of a crash involving a school bus in Franklin County.
The crash occurred near 6000 Molly Pitcher Highway South in Guilford Township.
It is reported that at least one person is trapped, although at this time is uncertain whether that is someone in the bus or the other vehicle.
A helicopter has been requested to the scene,
CBS 21 is headed to the scene and provide information as soon as it is available.
