Carlisle man arrested, tased after flashlight incident

CARLISLE -- A Carlisle man was arrested and charged with public drunkenness, disorderly conducts, and institutional vandalism after an incident with a flashlight last week.

Around 2 a.m. on Sept. 8, police were dispatched to the 400 block of North Pitt Street for reports of a man shining flashlights in the windows of passing motorists, including a marked police cruiser as it drove by.

When police attempted to apprehend the suspect, Anthony F. Clark, 37, he fled on foot but was quickly caught. Once he was placed in the police cruiser, he kicked at the rear door and window and bent the driver's side rear door frame away from the body of the vehicle. 

Police Tased him in an effort to subdue him and he was taken to Cumberland County Prison. Carlisle man arrested, tased after flashlight incident
