DA: Police officers justified in February shooting

Updated: Tuesday, September 10 2013, 10:10 AM CDT
York County District Attorney Tom Kearney says officers were justified, to use deadly force, in a police involved shooting in February.

Officers were called to a home on Hykes Mill Road in Conewago Township, York County on February 21 around 1:39 a.m. for a suicidal person.

Officers shot at the man after he refused to put his gun down and ran towards him. Clifton Thomson, 72, died from a gunshot wound.

Kearney says the manner of death was a justifiable homicide.
