State Police say an Elizabethtown woman was killed in a crash in Dauphin County on Friday morning.

Police say the 23-year-old was traveling westbound on State Route 230, when her car crossed the solid yellow lines and crashed into a grassy embankment on the opposite side of the road.  Police say the car continued on and struck a telephone pole and sheered it in half. The car continued westbound on Route 230 for approximately 30 feet, a press release said.

The woman was ejected from her car and was then struck by the car as it slid 15 feet down the embankment.

Police say the car came to rest 57 feet away from the telephone pole.

The woman was declared dead at the scene. Police say she was not wearing a seat belt.
