Lower Paxton Township Police are investigating two armed robberies that happened on Sunday and Monday.

Police say a Lower Paxton Township resident reported the first robbery shortly after midnight on Sunday. He told police he was robbed at gunpoint while standing in a grassy area on the side of the road in the first block of Colonial Road, near the Colonial Park Mall.

The man told police that two black males, one of them holding a handgun, approached him and demanded his backpack. The victim complied and the males took the backpack and ran into the Brook Apartments, police say.

The robber holding the gun, was described as tall, weighing approximately 220 pounds, having a beard and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and baseball cap.

The robbery on Monday night happened in the parking lot of American Freight, 6305 Allentown Boulevard around 8:30 p.m. An employee was robbed as he was walking to his car. Police say a male in all black with a hood and a scarf covering his face, was armed with a black handgun. He demanded the bank bag and fled with it on foot east on Allentown Boulevard.

At this time, there are no indicators that these two incidents are related.
