A man is facing charges after he allegedly resisted arrest and then ran over a police officer's foot.

Silver Spring Township Police were called to the area of the Carlisle Pike and Harrisburg Pike for a reckless driver. Officers found the car at the intersection of the Carlisle Pike and Rich Valley Road.

Police got behind the car and the driver nearly struck two other vehicles, a press release said.  Police attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver failed to yield to emergency lights and sirens.

When officers attempted to remove the man from the car, police say he ran over a police officer's foot. Police say the suspect continued to resist arrest once he was on the ground and needed to be tasered.

Rory Gohn, 36, of Codorus was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, resisting arrest, recklessly endangering another person, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, failing to yield to emergency vehicles, careless driving, and driving on roadways laned for traffic.
