Pennsylvania unveils new grading system for schools

A new grading system for Pennsylvania public schools will be unveiled Wednesday.

The "School Performance Profile" will replace the old standard of gauging academic progress.

The new system is based on attendance, participation in standardized testing, and graduation rates instead of just looking at student exam scores in math and reading.

School profiles will be publicly available and will be a part of staff evaluations, too.
