Police investigating incident in uptown Harrisburg, drug chemicals found

HARRISBURG -- Parole Officers were sent to a location in uptown Harrisburg shortly after 6 p.m. for a parolee check after being told he could possibly be operating a meth lab.

Officers made contact, and found some chemical agents that could be used to make crystal meth inside a car belonging to the man. They then secured the area and evacuated nearby residents.

After searching the house using special chemical sensors, the house was cleared and residents were allowed to return to their homes.

The man, who has not been identified, is facing additional charges. He is described as a white male from Williamsport with a history of heroin addiction.

The residence is on North 18th Street. Police towed the man's car and cleared the scene.Police investigating incident in uptown Harrisburg, drug chemicals found
