At a press conference Thursday morning, police said the search for the child is like finding a needle in a haystack. Upper Darby Police Superintendent called Ummad Rushdi, accused of kidnapping the child, a "scumbag" and says he's cold and calculating.

Rusdhi currently faces kidnapping charges, but Superintendent Michael Chitwood says he believes homicide charges will be coming soon.
Chitwood also said the baby's mother has pleaded at least 50 times with Rushdi to reveal where he hid the body. The pleas were unsuccessful.  The father of the seven month old was not involved in the kidnapping or crime and lives in Massachusetts.

Chitwood said until Rushdi decides to talk, they are out of search options. "The one person that knows where that baby is is the scumbag that killed that baby.  Pure and simple. And until he is willing - if ever - to tell us where that baby is, we're kind of stuck."

Ali was reported missing on August 6th. Rushdi allegedly told his brother he killed the baby and gave it a proper burial.
