UPDATE: Pedestrian struck in Hershey

The Derry Township Police Department is investigating a pedestrian accident that happened on Thursday night.

Crews were called to the scene on West Chocolate Avenue around 9:05 pm.  Police say David Gingrich, 55, of Hershey was crossing the roadway when he was struck by Mary Hinkle, 62, of Hershey.

Gingrich was taken to Hershey Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. Police say his injuries were non-life threatening.

The Derry Township Police Department is asking anybody who may have witnessed the crash to contact the Police Department at 534-2202.

HERSHEY -- Police in Derry Township are responding a pedestrian struck on West Chocolate Avenue.

That street is down to one lane east-bound in the vicinity of University Drive and Hockersville Road.
