UPDATE: Police officer shot in Jefferson Co. standoff; police have suspect surrounded

BROCKWAY, JEFFERSON COUNTY --

According to WTAJ reporter Leah Kirstein, the State Police Trooper has been flown to a Pittsburgh hospital.  He is still in stable condition. 

State Police are still on the scene of the home where the incident took place.  KDKA, the CBS affiliate in Pittsburgh, is reporting that the suspect is still holed up inside the home.

An "active shooter" situation is still unfolding on Cemetery Road according to Brockway's Fire Chief.

State Police report that at approximately 2:30pm,  2 troopers were serving a warrant to a man on Cemetery Road when shots rang out.  One trooper was hit; the other pulled him to safety. The injured trooper was flown from the scene to an area hospital. 
The suspect retreated into the home.

All schools in the Brockway Area School District are in lockdown.
Cemetery Road and the area known as "Cemetery Hill" is blocked.

State Police are asking all people to stay inside and away from the scene.
