As members of Congress fret over automatic budget cuts, government watchdogs continue to identify wasted money.

According to a new report by the General Accountability Office multiple government agencies are consistently doing the same work.

This time, it's safety inspections of the same hazardous lab sites.

Even though the labs handle volatile material such as anthrax, the GAO says it is unnecessary duplication.

Watchdog's can't put a dollar amount on the waste but consider that in 2010 more than two-million dollars was spent for lab inspections.
