U.S. Marshals have arrested a man who was wanted by Harrisburg City Police after he fired a weapon into the ceiling of S&D’s Lounge.

Last June, Oneil Thompson III entered the bar and robbed patrons of money, jewelry and cell phones. He also fired a weapon into the ceiling to get the attention of bar employees and patrons.

Thompson was identified and on July 27 an arrest warrant was issued.

On February 9, Harrisburg Police requested the help of U.S. Marshal’s to locate and arrest Thompson. Information informed them that Thompson had fled to DeKalb County, Georgia.

On March 5, Thompson was located and arrested without incident at a Walmart in Dalton, Georgia.

Thompson will be extradited to Dauphin County.

United States Marshal Martin J. Pane stated, “The U.S. Marshals Service places a high priority on fugitive cases like this one where violence occurs. Getting Thompson into custody was essential to all the victims of this late night robbery. The Fugitive Task Force worked hard to locate and apprehend him in less than 30 days, and did so in a safe manner.”

U.S. Marshals were assisted by personnel from the Harrisburg Bureau of Police. Additional assistance was provided by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department in Georgia.
