Early Saturday morning, an officer was led on a chase after he tried to investigate an occupied vehicle.

An officer approached the car, which was located in the parking lot of Walnut Crossing Apartment on Union Deposit Road. When the driver approached the car on foot to investigate, the driver had his hood up on his sweatshirt and refused to speak to the officer.

The driver, later identified as Justin Laboy, later fled the parking lot. The Susquehanna Township officer attempted to stop the car, but Laboy kept driving, first down Progress Avenue and then onto Earle Street.

Laboy crashed into the curb in the 3100 block of Earle Street, and then fled on foot through yards in the area.

After a short pursuit, the Laboy was tasered by a Penbrook Borough Police officer.

Laboy, 25 of Harrisburg, was found to be drunk and possessing marijuana. Police also found $3,100 in cash lying on the ground during the foot pursuit.

Laboy, who was already on parole for past drug charges, was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, DUI, fleeing and eluding police and other charges.

Laboy was arraigned at night court and placed in Dauphin County Prison on $25,000 bail.
