We have an update on a local PA State Representative called to active military duty.
On Wednesday, staffers at Scott Perry's legislative office told CBS 21 News that Perry had arrived in Iraq.
Perry was deployed with Pennsylvania's Army National Guard in late January, and had been training at a military facility in Oklahoma, until now.
As a state legislator, Perry serves portions of York and Cumberland Counties. In the Guard, he's a Lieutenant Colonel.
Perry's deployment is expected to last a year.
In his absence, his staff is handling day-to-day operations in the 92nd Legislative district.
