PPL estimates the power could be out until at least 11 p.m.

The first fire occurred just before 6 p.m. in the area of South Arch and Simpson Street in Mechanicsburg.

While emergency crews responded, numerous power outages caused several traffic lights to go out.

Power lines were found to be down in the 700 block of West Simpson Street.

Another transformer explosion was reported in the area of the Pennsy Supply on Carlisle Pike.

Numerous fire police agencies are working to direct traffic where lights are still out.
