This is Harrisburg's fourth homicide of the year, and is a very upsetting evening for many people in the Allison Hill area.

A fire truck was brought in to light the alley where a body was found

Police were called to the scene of a homicide in the 1800 block of Forster Street around 8:30 p.m.

They found a young black male in his early 20s in an alley behind 1814 Forster Street.

The victim suffered one gunshot wound to the upper body.

At this time, police are unsure if he was killed in the alley. They will review the surveillance video from Mickey’s Express Food Mart to determine if the victim fled to the alley where he collapsed and died or if the body was dumped in the alley.

It was an emotional evening Monday night, as many different people walked up the street and recognized who the victim was.

“There was a young male lying, appear to have a gun shot wound to the upper body,” explained Chief Ritter. Don’t really have any leads or witnesses at this time.”

“We don't know how long he had been there, neighbors were alerted to his body out here,” continued Ritter.
