UPDATE: Harrisburg police searching for Metro Bank robbery suspect

UPDATE:

Police are searching for a man who robbed the Metro Bank on Second Street in Harrisburg on Sunday.

Officers were called to the bank around 11:15 a.m. The tellers told officers a masked man entered the bank through the Walnut Street door.  They said the man went directly to the tellers and demanded them to put money in a white plastic bag.

The suspect fled the bank through the same door with a small amount of cash.  The man did not display a weapon.

The suspect is described as a short male.  Witnesses say they were unable to tell his race, but he is around 5'5" tall.  He was wearing a black mask, gloves, black hooded sweatshirt and light colored pants.

The Metro Bank in Harrisburg on 2nd Street was robbed Saturday around 11:30am.

Investigators say someone walked into the bank, stole some cash and left. The bank was closed after the robbery for police to speak with tellers to find out exactly what happened.

The bank's ATM machine is still open for use, but the bank is closed until further notice. No arrests have been made at this time.
