UPDATE:

Crews are still on scene of an overturned tractor trailer in Fulton Township, Lancaster County.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area as crews clean up diesel fuel.

State Police say around 6:45 a.m., a tractor trailer was traveling on Route 272 between Soap Stone Road and Route 222, when it hit an embankment causing it to flip on its side.

Police say they believe a medical condition, caused the driver to veer off the roadway. He was taken to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment.

Two other cars were involved in the crash, but the drivers were not hurt.

Half of the truck's diesel fuel spilled onto the roadway. Crews are working to clean up the fuel but motorists are encouraged to avoid the area.

Officials on scene say a nearby creek was not affected, and environmental teams are on scene monitoring the situation.
