Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - The Toronto Blue Jays have exercised their club option on left-handed pitcher Darren Oliver for the 2013 season.

Oliver, 42, will make $3 million this season, his 20th in the major leagues and second in Toronto.

After spending the previous two seasons in Texas, the veteran southpaw signed with the Jays as a free agent last offseason and compiled a 3-4 record with a 2.06 earned run average over 62 games, all in relief.

For his career, Oliver is 115-94 with a 4.53 ERA in 716 games (229 starts) with the Rangers, Cardinals, Red Sox, Rockies, Marlins, Astros, Mets, Angels and Blue Jays.
